Call of Duty: Warzone - PPSh-41 to receive major nerf

The developers behind Call of Duty: Warzone has announced they are looking into nerfing the PPSh-41 after players complained it was overpowered.

After many changes to the Warzone meta since Season 2 was introduced, the PPSh-41 essentially became one of the best guns in the game and many players have been quick to take advantage of it.

Now, Raven Software has confirmed that a nerf will be coming in the near future while acknowledging the weapon's overpowered nature.

In a message shared on social media, Raven said: "We're aware of an issue with the PPSh-41's damage profile, which has resulted in an unintended increase to both its base damage and location-based multipliers.

"Efforts are undergoing to bring the weapon back in-line."

It has not yet been made clear when the nerf will be introduced but it will likely be sooner rather than later since Raven has now officially acknowledged the issue.

Furthermore, it is not clear whether the nerf will be introduced as a hotfix or will be rolled out as part of a larger update for Warzone.

The announcement has been received with a positive reception among many players, with one user writing on Reddit: "Thank god. It's ridiculous. If you don't run it on Rebirth you can't compete. Plus it's incredibly frustrating to watch a killcam and see that the enemy is actually garbage, but they had a crutch gun so of course they won."
