Burton Albion's former Wolves and Aberdeen midfielder Terry Taylor linked with Cheltenham Town

Cheltenham Town are chasing Burton Albion midfielder Terry Taylor, according to reports.

The 21-year-old joined the Brewers from Wolverhampton Wanderers in February 2021, signing a two-and-a-half year deal. He played 20 times for Burton during the 2021/22 campaign.

The Wales Under-21 international had spent the first half of the 2020/21 season on loan with Grimsby Town in League Two.

He was born in Aberdeen and started his career at Pittodrie, representing Scotland at Under-17 and 18 level.

Cheltenham have signed Dan Adshead from Norwich City and Taylor Perry on loan from Wolves this summer, but they are known to be looking for another midfielder and Taylor could be brought in on a permanent deal.

Wade Elliott's side play Birmingham City at home in their penultimate pre-season friendly on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
