Bullet holes in window at Salford home after 'gunman on motorbike' opens fire
Images from the scene of shooting in Salford show a window with bullet holes. Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire yards away from a primary school on Queen Street, in Little Hulton, on Friday evening (December 27).
Forensic officers have been working at the scene this morning (Saturday). A cordon had been in place along Queen Street, off Manchester Road East.
Officers remain in attendance outside the property which was targeted in the shooting, near to Ellesmere Close and yards away from St Edmunds RC Primary School. Images from the scene appear to show three bullet holes in a window at the property - one at the top of the glass, one further down and one at in the frame.
Greater Manchester Police say no one has been arrested so far and no injuries were reported following the firearms discharge at around 5.55pm yesterday.
Police believe three shots were fired by an offender, or offenders, on a motorbike in a targeted attack. Witnesses have been urged to come forward.
Detective Inspector Justin Bryant, from GMP's Salford district, said: "This incident will undoubtedly cause concern for those who live and work in the Little Hulton, and Salford as a whole. We strongly believe that this incident was targeted, with no wider threats to the public.
