Bruno Fernandes' classy gesture towards two Manchester United fans speaks volumes after keeping to his promise, three months later.

Three months after receiving a message from a United fan to say he was bringing his autistic son to watch the game against Brentford at Old Trafford, Fernandes remembered and made arrangements to meet the pair in the tunnel after the game. United produced a 2-1 comeback against Thomas Frank's side with both Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund scoring the goals in the second half.

Setting up the winner for Hojlund, the United captain gifted the son his shirt and posed for pictures after the match. It's not the first time the Portuguese midfielder has dedicated his time to supporters amid a difficult start to the season.

Although Fernandes has yet to score this season, his absence will be solely missed in United's Europa League tie at Fenerbahce. Erik ten Hag's team will head to Turkey to take on former boss Jose Mourinho in their bid to seal their first win in the competition.

The 30-year-old was sent off during the 3-3 draw with FC Porto in Portugal earlier this month and will serve a one-match ban. Fernandes is eager to get back on the scoresheet and admitted he is failing to reach the standard he set himself.
