Broncos' Eyioma Uwazurike suspended for betting on NFL games - ESPN

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos defensive end Eyioma Uwazurike has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's policy on gambling, the league announced Monday.

The Broncos said in a statement: «We were informed by the NFL (Monday) that Eyioma Uwazurike has been suspended by the league indefinitely for violating its gambling policy. Three players league-wide were suspended indefinitely in June for violating the gambling policy — Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry of the Indianapolis Colts and free agent Demetrius Taylor. Tennessee Titans tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere was also suspended in June for six games.

Earlier this year four Detroit Lions players and one Washington Commanders player were suspended for violating the league's gambling policy. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who was traded by the Atlanta Falcons to the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this year, was suspended for all of the 2022 season for violating the policy.
