British Soap Awards viewers distracted by Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan's real voice saying they had 'no idea'

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan couldn't hide her surprise and her delight as she scooped a number of awards at the British Soap Awards.

The glitzy awards bash saw the stars of Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Doctors and Hollyoaks file into The Lowry theatre at Salford Quays as they came together to celebrate the very best of another year in Soapland.

And Charlotte has recently been winning heaps of praise from viewers for her portrayal of Daisy Midgeley in the ITV soap after being thrust to the forefront in a terrifying stalker and acid attack storylines.

The actress, who joined Corrie in 2020 after previously appearing in the Netflix series Free Rein, celebrated a string of wins on soap's glitziest night alongside her cobbles co-stars.

Charlotte was among the first up on stage as she and co-stars Ryan Prescott (Ryan Connor) and Andrew Still (Justin Rutherford) collected the Scene of The Year award for the acid attack that horrified viewers.

They were then back again moments later after they were announced as the winners of Best Single Episode for the dramatic attack launched by Justin on Daisy's wedding day that left Ryan with life-changing injuries.

But that wasn't the end as Charlotte, who stunned in a figure-hugging hot pink dress, was announced as the winner of the Best Dramatic Performance gong. However, as she gave her own acceptance speech after taking one of the team and speaking on behalf of the soap for another award, viewers and Corrie fans were distracted by her 'real voice'.
