Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn says 'it's not my fault' after pulling out of first TV appearance amid booing backlash

Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn has appeared on Lorraine today (June 7) after pulling out of his planned interview on Tuesday. The Norwegian comedic dancer was due to chat to Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled chat show days after his BGT victory, but after he didn't show up, the host was forced to explain his absence.

Fans had expected to see the TV talent, who 'captured the heart of Britain' with his high-vis vest inspired routines, on the sofa to talk about his unexpected win. However host Lorraine later told viewers that Viggo was no longer appearing on the programme on Tuesday (June 6) as planned.

The Scottish presenter, 63, said: "Viggo was supposed to be joining me in the studio this morning but unfortunately he's feeling too chipper but hopefully we'll see him later on," Lorraine said before adding that he "needs a wee rest" as he showcased a lot of "energy" during the final.

But despite this, voting figures for the final revealing that Viggo gained 22 percent of the public vote which led him to be crowned the 2023 winner and earned him a spot to perform at the Royal Variety Performance as well as bagging the £250,000 prize pot.

On Wednesday (June 7), Viggo finally made his much anticipated appearance on Lorraine with a memorable entrance, before telling Lorraine that winning 'wasn't his fault'.

The BGT winner ran around the studio sporting his iconic hi-vis vest, with Lorraine and ITV staff also wearing matching ones.
