Brilliant Cardiff City player ratings as Leeds United loanee is just frightening and forwards impressive

Has been so solid, but will be disappointed with his part in Lewis Baker's goal. Made two very good saves not long after that, though. Flapped at a couple in the second half.

This lad is special, frightening, even. Was on it from minute one and caused Stoke all sorts of bother all night. Played a key part in Hugill's goal.

Another very good outing for the centre back, but was sloppy in possession just before Baker's opener.

Barring one overzealous moment when he flew over the top of Tyrese Campbell, prompting a Stoke breakaway, he was solid as ever. Made a crucial block on Josh Maja late on.

Another aerially dominant display from the centre back. Coasted through another game without too much trouble.

Looks such a different player to the one we saw at the start of the season. So confident. Should have had one of his own but hit the bar, then played in Doyle for his.

Has such a notable poise in possession, like a puppet-master the way he dictates Cardiff's attack. Lovely finish for his goal, too. Another terrific display.

Another very assured display from the midfielder. Dropped into defence when needed and, like Doyle, brings a calmness in possession.

Tried to pick up the tempo of Cardiff's midfield play and did so well. Didn't shirk his defensive duties either.

Easy to highlight his glaring miss when City were 1-0 down, but was much improved thereafter. Had a big hand in the opener and gave Cardiff field position by chasing the balls down the channels and invariably winning them.

An absolutely lovely finish for his goal, but dovetailed nicely with Harris. His performances have not yielded many goals of late so he deserved that one.
