Brian McFadden says 'face is calming down' after alarming fans with bee sting video

Brian McFadden has told fans 'his face is calming down' after he shared a worrying video clip of himself with a swollen face.

The Westlife singer, 42, alarmed his Instagram followers after he told them he had suffered an allergic reaction to a bee sting.

Sitting back in bed with enlarged lips and puffy eyes he bravely poked fun of the situation by singing the LMFAO song Sexy And I Know It. He wrote with the video posted on Wednesday evening: "Stung by a bee and got an allergic reaction!! Owning that look! Free Botox and fillers!!!!!"

The post led to a raft of comments from worried fans with mrsj2108 said: "Omg! I thought it was a filter get well soon."

However he posted an update on Thursday morning telling followers his face had calmed down - sharing a picture looking a lot less swollen.

His recovery meant he was able to take part in a planned charity golf tournament for The Marie Keating Foundation - a cancer charity set up by the Keating family, including Ronan Keating, in memory of the Boyzone singer's mum Marie.

Replying to Brian, Ronan said: "So happy to see you on the mend. Thank you for always supporting us B".
