Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has claimed that Thomas Tuchel is not happy because Chelsea are not currently top of the Premier League.

The Blues have seen their title tilt falter over recent months after a run of just three wins in their last ten league games. They now sit 13 points behind current leaders Manchester City, with it now looking unlikely that they will end their five-year wait for a domestic crown.

As a result, ex- Chelsea coach Rodgers has suggested that the German will not be satisfied with his side’s current position, with only City boss Pep Guardiola the only one who can claim to be happy with the table.

Speaking after Leicester’s 2-0 loss at Anfield on Thursday, the Northern Irishman said: “I think every team other than Man City won’t be happy. That’s the reality of it.

“If you ask every manager are you happy, I think Man City would probably say, Pep [Guardiola] would probably say, yeah I’m quite happy.

“Jurgen [Klopp] won’t because he’ll want to be top. Thomas [Tuchel] won’t because he’ll want to be top.”

Whilst it is hard to envisage Chelsea lifting the league title come the end of the campaign - barring a miraculous reversal in fortunes - the Blues are still well in the running for multiple pieces of silverware.
