BREAKING: Police storm homes in sudden dawn raids on suspected child sex offenders

Police have swooped on a 'number' of suspected child sex offenders in a series of dawn raids.

Several arrests have been made as part of an ongoing specialist Greater Manchester Police (GMP) investigation relating to alleged grooming in Oldham between 2011 and 2014, the force said.

In a post on X, GMP said the victim continues to be supported, adding time will be 'no barrier' to getting justice for victims of child sexual exploitation.

They wrote: "We’ve arrested a number of suspected child sex offenders this morning as part of an ongoing specialist GMP investigation.

"The action relates to alleged grooming in Oldham between 2011 and 2014. The victim supporting today’s action continues to be kept updated.

"Time will be no barrier to getting justice for victims of child sexual exploitation. Full details to come later."
