BREAKING: Man dies in Salford Quays

A man has died following a 'concern for welfare report' in Salford Quays.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Michigan Avenue at around 7pm last night (Thursday). Pictures showed crews outside of Michigan Point Tower A, with firefighters spotted going in and out of the building.

Police said a man sadly died at the scene. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Last night (13/10/2022) just before 7pm we were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man on Michigan Avenue, Salford Quays.

"Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he sadly died. Enquiries are ongoing."
