BREAKING: Boy dies after suffering 'medical episode' with police and CSI called to house

A boy has died after a suffering a medical episode at a house in Salford.

Police were called to the scene on Firth Close at around 12.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

Paramedics were also called to the scene and eyewitness said the air ambulance landed in nearby Albert Park.

A boy was rushed to hospital but he tragically died a short time later.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said enquiries are ongoing.

The age of the child has not yet been confirmed.

Yesterday afternoon, police were stationed outside a house on Firth Close.

Crime scene investigators were also pictured at the scene.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called around 12.30pm on Sunday 13 March to Firth Close, Salford to a report of a child suffering from a medical episode.

"The child - a boy - was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of hospital staff sadly died a short while later.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
