BREAKING: Bomb squad and police descend on street - live updates

Bomb disposal experts and police are responding to an incident in Stretford this evening.

Several emergency services vehicles are currently stationed on Thomas Street. At least two police cars and one bomb squad van is at the scene.

The bomb disposal van has been pictured at the end of the street. The road leads to a footpath towards Bridgewater Way.
