Bradley Walsh reveals real reason he never goes out for dinner with The Chasers

Bradley Walsh has opened up about why he doesn't catch up with the Chasers outside of filming for the hit ITV quiz show.

Speaking on the Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? podcast, the 64-year-old presenter shared with host Tim Lihoreau that despite the camaraderie on set, socialising after hours just doesn't happen.

He revealed: "No, we don't (go out for dinner)."

The reason, Bradley explained, is due to the tight schedule and strict management of the show. He elaborated: "When we're working, when we're in the studio, they are very strict indeed. So what they do is, and this is serious, they will do their show (the Chasers) and I don't know what Chaser we're going to have."

He continued, detailing the production process: "So we shoot three (episodes) a day, the executive producers will choose three Chasers to turn up that day, so I don't know which three Chasers they are, so when they literally come across the bridge. Bradley went on to say that because the Chasers are often required for shooting the next day, there's little opportunity for them to hang out after filming: "When they've finished the show they go home and they swap for the following day in case they're needed for the following day. So they very rarely go out."

During the podcast, Bradley confirmed that his laughter on the show is entirely genuine, as he is not privy to the questions before quizzing contestants. With a career spanning five decades, Bradley has taken on numerous roles in television.

He is perhaps best known for his role as Danny Baldwin in the long-running ITV soap Coronation Street, a character he portrayed for two years before leaving
