Bradford house fire LIVE updates as woman and three children, aged 9, 5 and 1, killed

A woman and three children have been killed in a 'deliberate' house fire in Bradford - with a man arrested on suspicion of murder.

The blaze tore through a home Westbury Road just after 2am this morning (August 21). Emergency crews, including police officers, firefighters and paramedics, raced to the scene.

Tragically, a 29-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Three children - two girls aged nine and one, and a five-year-old boy - were rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

Sadly, all three died. A 39-year-old man was arrested on the scene on suspicion of murder, West Yorkshire Police said.

He has been taken to hospital with critical injuries. Detectives believe the fire was 'started deliberately'.

A murder investigation is ongoing. Police remain at the scene of the 'domestic-related incident'.

Forensic officers have been pictured scouring the house for evidence.

“Early enquiries show that the fire was started deliberately, and we have arrested one man on suspicion of murder. He is seriously ill in hospital today as a result of injuries caused by the fire."
