Bolton Wanderers close in on transfer deal for 26-year-old

Bolton Wanderers are closing in on signing Kyle Dempsey from Gillingham according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon.

The 26-year-old was a huge part of the Gills’ outstanding 2020/21 campaign and he could be swapping 23rd for 14th in the League One table.

Dempsey would join a very impressive midfield contingent that Ian Evatt and the supporters will be expecting to contribute to a third tier promotion push next season.

To confirm the Trotters’ pursuit of Dempsey, Alan Nixon posted on Twitter this afternoon.

Bolton represent an ambitious next chapter for Dempsey who will have his sights set on playing Championship football in the not too distant future.
