Boiling Point on BBC One: Full cast, plot, how many episodes and what time it starts

A sequel to the award-winning feature film Boiling Point starring Stephen Graham will air on the BBC tonight. The brand new four-part series starts on BBC One on Sunday, October 1.

The nail-biting film, directed by Philip Barantini, which was all shot in one take, followed chef Andy Jones during one of his restaurant's busiest nights in the year. The new series follows on from the hugely successful film of the same name and sees many of the cast reprise their roles.

In the new series, the action has moved on, with head chef Carly aiming to forge a name for herself at new restaurant, Point North. Although the series is set in London it was actually filmed in Manchester earlier this year.

The Boiling Point TV series will focus on Carly, who was mentored by Andy in the film, as she tries to find success in her northern England-inspired restaurant, exploring some pertinent social issues while delving into the lives of those who keep it running. The series sees her try to forge a name for her new Dalston restaurant, named Point North, alongside her old kitchen crew.

The four episodes will follow the team as the stresses of keeping the restaurant running bear down on
