Bodvarsson starts: How we expect Bolton Wanderers to line up against Wigan on Saturday

It’s a huge North West clash this weekend in League One as Bolton will face off against Wigan.

Wanderers have pushed on this season despite only just getting back into the third tier and are now sat in eleventh place, just inside the top half of the division.

In fact, at one point in the season, it looked like the club might even be on for a play-off push. Whilst that now looks unlikely, it shows just how well Ian Evatt has done with the side since taking over and there are great strides being made by the team right now.

Wigan though will possesses a big challenge for Bolton, with the Latics fighting for automatic promotion and even the league title. They’ll want to pick up as many points as they can now and they’d love nothing more than to get one over on their rivals to boot.

Bolton though will be up for the task – and here’s how they could lineup for the game.

Gethin Jones is available again but should Bolton really tinker much with a side which beat Crewe last time around?

George Johnston looked superb in the back three central pairing of himself, Ricardo Santos and Will Aimson and the trio should hold onto their places again here considering that they managed a clean sheet last time around. Jones could perhaps sneak in there somewhere or replace Kieran Sadlier on the right but the Republic of Ireland man has done nothing to warrant his dropping.

Aaron Morley was another who put in an excellent showing against Crewe too, with more passes and tackles than anyone else on the field in the game. He and MJ Williams are likely to retain their spots in the midfield berths.
