Caolin Blade scored a first-half hat-trick of tries as Connacht saw off Ospreys in their opening BKT United Rugby Championship match.
Pete Wilkins side were 27-5 up at the break with Cathal Forde's converted try in the second half keeping them just out of reach as the Welsh side scored 21 points in the last 32 minutes.
JJ Hanrahan kicked four conversions and two penalties on his debut.
