Big second-half showing sees Tyrone past Kerry in Omagh
Struggling Tyrone picked up two valuable points with a 1-15 to 2-09 win over Kerry at O'Neills Healy Park.
Sean O’Shea gave the Kingdom the perfect start with a second-minute goal, but an own goal by keeper Shane Ryan put a blemish on the two fine saves he made from Conn Kilpatrick and Darragh Canavan.
The sides were level at 1-07 each at the break, but Kerry regained the lead with a Paul Murphy goal.
However, it was the Red Hands who had the will to push for home, scores from Darragh Canavan, Darren McCurry and Mattie Donnelly getting them back in front, and they conceded just one point in the final 20 minutes, before Ruairi Canavan came off the bench to convert two late clinching frees.
