Bid incoming: Spurs now ‘open talks’ to sign ‘magnificent’ gem for Conte, meeting planned

According to journalist Raisa Simplicio, Tottenham have now officially opened ‘talks’ to sign Everton forward Richarlison.

In what was a disappointing Premier League season for the Toffees having only just managed to escape relegation, the 25-year-old was a standout performer in a struggling side and played a huge part in helping Frank Lampard’s men avoid the dreaded drop.

The Brazilian only has two years left on his contract at Goodison Park, meaning that now will be the one of the last opportunities for the club to cash in big on their highly-rated striker.

It’s fair to say that he’s not short on potential suitors, with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, alongside the Lilywhites, all said to be very keen on securing his signature.

Taking to Twitter, Simplicio, editor for GOAL Brazil, revealed the latest on Richarlison’s transfer situation: “Tottenham open talks to sign Richarlison.”

Expanding further in her column for the major South American outlet, the reporter claims that Tottenham are ‘expected to submit a bid’ for the attacker ‘in the coming days’, and says that there will likely be a meeting between the player’s agent and Spurs chiefs.

Antonio Conte has already been linked with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha in recent weeks as he searches for a new frontline addition, but if Richarlison ends up being the one he goes for, he is sure to be a fantastic signing.

The £43.2m-rated gem, who was dubbed a “magnificent” player by former Toffees favourite Leon Osman, netted ten goals and provided five assists in the league last season, via Transfermarkt, but will no doubt feel like he is now destined for bigger things.
