'Best in decades' - Nottingham Forest sent message as Reds produce brilliant QPR comeback

Steve Cooper's current Nottingham Forest side is the best "in decades" with Reds fans left brimming with delight after an excellent comeback win over QPR.

The Reds fell behind on 40 minutes to Andre Gray's strike, but an incredible 30-yard screamer from Djed Spence leveled the scores and tore the roof of the City Ground ten minutes after the break. Ryan Yates put the hosts ahead with a neat header in-front of the Trent End, before Brennan Johnson made sure of the points with three minutes left on the clock.

It's a huge result that boosts Forest's play-off aspirations by taking three points off QPR, one of the Reds' fellow play-off rivals. Steve Cooper's side are now just a point off the top six and find themselves in an excellent position heading into the final ten games of the season as they hold games in hand over some of their nearest rivals.

Despite the win, there was one slight negative as key defender Scott McKenna was forced off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury late on in the victory.

2 points off the playoffs with games in hand and only the top 2 have a better goal difference.. after the start we had to this season that’s an amazing achievement by this team and Cooper

That was just excellent. Thought it could have been one of those nights tonight, especially with that referee performance. Bring on Liverpool, we can beat anybody on our day. What a time it is to support Forest & long may it continue!

Back-to-back home wins brings play-offs larger into view! Now we can turn our attention to the cup, bring on the Scousers we're coming for you!

The Steve Cooper train has left the station and there is nothing anybody can do to stop it! Youuuuuu Redssssss!

What a team. How can you not love them?!
