Becky Lynch looks back on WWE debut with 'shameful' throwback photo

Few Superstars have transcended WWE’s women’s division more than Becky Lynch, and this weekend she celebrated memorable anniversary. 

26 June 2014 marked eight years since Becky Lynch made her WWE debut as part of NXT. On that night though, Lynch looked very different to the Big Time Becks persona we see on our screens right now. 

In a match where she’d take on Summer Rae, Lynch was a far cry from anything we’ve seen on the main roster. Instead, the future WrestleMania main eventer Irish jigged her way to the ring as WWE played-up on her homeland roots. 

Along with the dancing and happy-go-lucky demeanour, Lynch was decked head-to-toe in emerald green and played on her over the top stereotype Irish character. Unsurprisingly the gimmick didn’t last long. 

To celebrate the anniversary, Becky took to Twitter to acknowledge the false start she got in WWE but went on to reflect on everything she’s done since in WWE. In a post that was seemingly a step back from the unhinged and desperate heel we are currently seeing on Monday Night Raw.
