BBC The Traitors final time change amid series three twist as finalists confirmed

It's been almost four weeks since we were first introduced to the 25 contestants ready to take part in another epic game of The Traitors but now, only five remain.

It was back on New Year's Day (January 1) that fans of the BBC One gameshow saw presenter Claudia Winkleman welcome a batch of new contestants to the game of "detection, backstabbing and trust", where the aim is to win up to £120,000.

At the time, the game quickly got underway as while journeying to the Traitors’ castle in the Scottish Highlands, the host of new faces were told that three passengers would need to disembark the train to whittle down the contestants from 25 to 22.

But since then, the players have been whittled down with one traitor and four faithfuls remaining in the game. The end of season two, saw traitor Harry Clark snatch the hefty prize pot from the faithfuls after convincing his closest ally on the show Mollie Pearce that he could be trusted.

However, Charlotte Berman, who is now the only traitor left in series three, is having to reveal her identity to Frankie Rowan-Plowden. During Thursday night’s episode, Claudia informed the remaining contestants that the person with the most gold at the end of the day’s challenges would become a "seer" who can chose to meet with one person one-on-one to find out their true identity.

This year’s series also features another new twist as the finalists will no longer reveal whether they are a traitor or faithful after being voted out. The show’s final will involve the contestants continually voting out their fellow competitors until they have decided that there are no traitors left at the table.
