BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Jody Cundy celebrates 'little wins' with gift from Jowita as he speaks out after exit
Strictly Come Dancing star Jody Cundy has spoken out after his exit from the BBC dance contest as he celebrates his 'little wins'. The Paralympian was the third celebrity contestant to leave Strictly after he ended up in the dreaded dance-off with his dance partner Jowita Przystal.
The cyclist and former swimmer, who celebrated his 45th birthday during Saturday’s live show, performed to Bellini’s Samba de Janeiro, but it landed him the lowest score of the night with just 19 points. After failing to impress both the judges and the public, Jody and Jowita then went up against comedian Eddie Kadi in the dance-off.
After the judges chose to save Eddie Kadi and his partner Karen Hauer, Jody was eliminated from the competition and has since spoken out about his time on the programme as well as the special gift that was given to him by Jowita, who was crowned champion alongside CBeebies presenter Hamza Yassin in the 2022 series of Strictly.

Taking to his Instagram after his exit, Jody wrote: "What an emotional rollercoaster. @bbcstrictly has been an absolute blast, I’ve learned so much about myself in the short time I’ve been on the show, learned to dance (well almost), become more comfortable with who I am and what I represent, and my confidence has grown to the point that I’ve been filmed having a spray tan, having my chest waxed and having my shirt ripped open on live TV. All things I could never have imagined doing before."
He then paid tribute to his partner, writing: "I have had an amazing dance partner in @jowitaprzystal, who has taken me
