BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans' one compliant about launch show and say 'it's so cringe'

Strictly Come Dancing has returned to screens with a colourful and glittering bang - but it turns out you can't quite please everyone. The BBC One dance contest's 2024 launch show aired on Saturday night (September 14) after being pre-recorded earlier this month.

At one point, Tess was seen in her mechanics overalls answering a phone call and saying: "Dave's Repairs under the arches, how can we help?" before shouting for Claudia, also in her red mechanic overalls alongside star of Strictly's band Dave Arch, who she branded 'baby'.

The 'Strictly bus' was soon back on its way and the performance ended in the studio but it didn't seem to go down well with everyone watching at home as the issued a complaint just minutes into the competition's latest run.
