BBC Flog It! star expert Michael Baggott dies
Michael Baggott, known for his appearances on BBC's Flog It! has died following a heart attack.
Michael had been unwell for some time and was admitted to the hospital last year, raising concerns among fans when he shared a video from his hospital bed. He appeared on the BBC antiques show from 2017 until it was decommissioned in 2020.
The announcement of his passing was made in a heartfelt statement on his social media site X, stating: "Heartbroken to share that Michael died yesterday in hospital of a heart attack following a stroke in October. He was a dearly loved son, brother, nephew and uncle who will be deeply and profoundly missed. There will be a memorial service in the coming weeks, the details of which will be shared here."
Fellow antiques expert and co-star Charles Hanson paid tribute online: "Rest in peace @baggottsilver A giant of our antique industry, our 'Arthur Negus' and never afraid to call out 'an expert who got it wrong including myself. Michael's thirst for knowledge for the object within' merited far more TV time too for a true and proper expert.", reports the Mirror.
The post garnered over 300 responses, with many followers expressing their condolences. Messages included comments such as: "This is so upsetting. A true gentleman. God bless him."
