BBC EastEnders' Pam St Clement breaks down in tears over Dame Barbara Windsor tribute

EastEnders fans were left deeply moved as Pam St Clement paid a heartfelt homage to her former co-star, the late Dame Barbara Windsor.

The 82-year-old actress, who is best known for playing the feisty Pat Butcher on the BBC soap for over two decades, lamented the death of Dame Barbara, who passed away at 83 in December 2020, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Pam reflected on her iconic role, which included her big earrings, no-nonsense demeanor, and soap opera scandals, but also her tumultuous friendship with love rival Peggy Mitchell, a character brought to life by Dame Barbara.

After spending 13 years away from EastEnders, Pam appeared alongside Grant Mitchell actor Ross Kemp in the documentary EastEnders: 40 Years of the Square.

During an emotional hour-long special, she candidly spoke about her character while reminiscing with Ross aboard the number 38 bus.

Revisiting their past storylines, they also watched scenes from a touching 2016 episode where Pat returned as a ghost to console Peggy as she passed away.

The pair watched clips featuring their beloved late co-star, visibly moved by the memories.

An emotional Pam said, "Well, I miss her", before adding poignantly, "I mean, basically I miss her tremendously" as she struggled to contain her emotions, reports Plymouth Live.

With tears in her eyes and Ross equally upset, it was clear that Dame Barbara's presence was profoundly missed.

Viewers were deeply touched by Ross and Pam's conversation on X, as emotional reactions flooded in.

One person shared their sentiment online, writing: "Pam St Clement choking up remembering Barbara Windsor #Eastenders #EastEnders40."

Another viewer expressed heartache, stating: "Pam St Clement talking about Barbara Windsor just
