BBC EastEnders Louisa Lytton reprises role as Ruby Allen after three-year hiatus

Ruby Allen is set for a sensational comeback to Walford, as actress Louisa Lytton returns to her role in EastEnders for an extended period. The character's last appearance was in November 2021 when she was carted off to prison due to her supposed connection with a cannabis operation.

Louisa Lytton, 35, who has been part of the cast since 2005, expressed excitement about her return to the iconic soap. "I've always loved playing Ruby as there is never a dull moment and I cannot wait for everyone to see what Ruby has in store."

EastEnders' executive producer Chris Clenshaw has expressed his excitement about Louisa Lytton's return to the soap, saying: "I'm delighted to welcome Louisa Lytton back to the role of Ruby Allen."

"Ruby's departure from Walford left many unanswered questions for Martin and Stacey, and her return is sure to unearth a whole heap of drama for
