BBC EastEnders fans threaten to 'riot' after spotting tragic death clue in The Vic
EastEnders fans are bracing themselves for heartbreak as they suspect an iconic character from Albert Square might be facing a grim fate.
In Thursday's episode (February 12), the mood was jubilant at The Queen Vic during Billy Mitchell's (Perry Fenwick) stag-do, especially after a video message from West Ham's Jarrod Bowen lifted spirits.
However, when Martin Fowler (James Bye) entered the pub without wearing yellow like the rest of the party, viewers sensed trouble. Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and the Mitchell clan playfully ribbed Martin (James Bye) with cross-arm gestures symbolising the Hammer Irons sign.
Martin eventually joined in and made the cross sign himself before the group conga-lined out of the pub. But some eagle-eyed fans believe this could be an ominous sign of Martin's demise.
With next week set to bring disaster as The Queen Vic is engulfed in flames, not all characters are expected to make it out unscathed.
Amidst the upcoming chaos where residents scramble to save each other, speculation is rife that Martin could be among the casualties, reports Plymouth Live.
On social media platform X, one apprehensive EastEnders viewer expressed their concern: "I can't help but feeling that shot of Martin coming into the Vic is important.. I'm worried he's going to die next week #EastEnders."
Another fan responded with a threat of uproar: "If he does, I'm rioting", while another commented with a sense of dread: "I hope not ...", accompanied by a broken heart emoji.
One fan expressed trepidation about the storyline, saying: "I will be so upset if Martin and Stacey get back together then he gets killed off.. it will remind me of Mick/Linda when they were just about to be together again and now Mick is gone.."
