BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood red-faced as co-star exposes blunder

BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood was left blushing this Thursday morning when her colleague humorously called her out on-air. The programme experienced a slight change in its presenting lineup, as Naga Munchetty shared the screen with Nina Warhurst.

Regular viewers would be more accustomed to seeing Charlie Stayt beside Naga, but he was noticeably absent in the recent episode.

Amidst the banter, Naga couldn't resist pointing out the resemblance between her own name and Nina's, seizing the moment to remind Carol of a previous on-air slip-up.

As Carol concluded the weather report, cautioning that the chill was here to stay, she ended with: "A lot of dry weather, it's going to be a cold day, perhaps just not quite as cold as it's going to be today or tonight, Nina and Naga."

Once back in the studio, Naga teased: "You're going to struggle with Nina and Naga, Naga and Nina today aren't you? You struggle with calling me Nana!"

With laughter and a hint of embarrassment, Carol covered her face as Naga revealed that 'Nana' is the name of her producer, sparking an amusing studio exchange about the mix-up, reports the Express.

Inquiring whether Carol had ever called her Nana, Nina jestingly replied: "No, only you Naga!" While Carol was still chuckling at the playful ribbing from Naga, Nina added: "She never struggles with anything! Thank you, Carol."
