Bayern Munich XI vs RB Salzburg: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Champions League
Bayern Munich welcome back captain Manuel Neuer for their Champions League last-16 second-leg tie against RB Salzburg later today.
The goalkeeper, a legend with the Bavarian giants, underwent knee surgery last month but has been training with the first-team squad in what will be a major boost for the Bundesliga leaders.
Indeed, while Bayern managed to claim a 1-1 draw in Austria last month, the manner of their performance - particularly defensively - was hardly convincing, so having the influential stopper back could have a calming effect.
Elsewhere, Leon Goretzka, Alphonso Davies and Corentin Tolisso remain injured, while Lucas Hernandez is one booking away from missing the next Champions League game.
Robert Lewandowski leads the line and Kingsley Coman was one of few Bayern players to have impressed during the first-leg draw, so it will be interesting to see if he can continue to cause problems.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI: Neuer; Pavard, Sule, Hernandez, Kimmich, Musiala, Sane, Muller, Gnabry, Coman; Lewandowski.
Injured: Goretzka (knee), Davies (heart condition), Tolisso (thigh)
