Battling Munster suffer another narrow loss to Toulouse in Heineken Champions Cup
Munster will be away from home in the last 16 of the Heineken Champions Cup after they fell to a late defeat against Toulouse.
Graham Rowntree's men twice led during the second half thanks to a Tadhg Beirne try and a penalty from replacement Ben Healy penalty, but two late penalties from Melvyn Jaminet denied them victory.
Munster had Healy sin-binned with 12 minutes remaining and they were unable to mount a late fightback as Toulouse held on to make it four wins from four in Pool B.
Munster finish sixth, meaning they could play the Cell C Sharks, Edinburgh, Exeter Chiefs or Saracens in the round of 16.
The Irish province trailed 11-0 after 17 minutes as Toulouse flew out of the traps, with Juan Cruz Mallia scoring a try either side of two Jaminet penalties, but Munster hit back with a John Hodnett try and Joey Carbery penalty to trail 11-8 at half-time.
