Bassaleg Road in Newport reopens after late night crash
Gwent Police have reported that Bassaleg Road in Newport reopened in the early hours of Tuesday morning (March 28) following an earlier collision that forced its closure.
The road was reported closed between 11:02pm on Monday night and 12:38am on Tuesday.

A closure is in place on Bassaleg Road in Newport due to a road traffic collision, according to Gwent Police. The stretch of road affected runs to the Western Valley Road junction.
Officers have advised that emergency services are at the scene and diversions are in place, which may cause congestion.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
