Baseball futures - Best bets for the 2022 MLB season

Baseball season is finally upon us, and there are betting opportunities galore.

From World Series bets to win totals to MVP and more, we went through it all to find our best picks heading into the season.

Some things to keep in mind: The DH is now universal and will be present in each and every game, the playoffs have been expanded to 12 teams, doubleheaders will be back to a pair of nine-inning affairs, and the «ghost runner» in extra innings will return for at least this season.

Matt Chapman 150-1 to win AL MVP

As long as Shohei Ohtani remains healthy, he's the clear MVP favorite. Rafael Devers and Luis Robert are both currently listed at 25-1 for AL MVP. Devers (25 years old) and Robert (24) are in their primes, surrounded by great players and present excellent value. However, Toronto's Chapman is the long shot with the best value. His glove juices his WAR, and in this Blue Jays lineup, he could put up silly offensive numbers, too. — Jeff Passan
