Coutinho has hinted at a permanent move to Villa by explaining how Gerrard granted his 'wish'.

Coutinho signed for Villa until the end of the season in January, opting to move to the Second City on loan and escape Barcelona after four hard years in Catalonia.

Signed for a whopping £142m from Liverpool in 2018, Coutinho has struggled to make an impact at the Camp Nou and is in his second loan spell away from Barcelona having spent the 2019-20 campaign at Bayern Munich.
