'Bang out of order' - Ray Parlour slams Tottenham star for Man Utd antics

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour says Cristian Romero’s celebrations in front of Harry Maguire were ‘bang out of order.’

Cristiano Ronaldo stole the headlines on Saturday as he scored a hat-trick in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Tottenham.

But Romero’s behaviour after Maguire scored an own goal caused quite the stir on social media.

The Argentine was seen laughing in the England international’s face as he sat slumped on the floor after his outstretched leg diverted the ball beyond David de Gea.

But Parlour wasn’t a fan of it and says if he was playing he’d attempt to get his own back next time they came up against each other.

‘I think that’s bang out of order,’ Parlour told talkSPORT.

‘I don’t think I’d do that. I know it’s a big game for both sides but come on.

‘I don’t know the situation but you don’t need to do that. Just take the goal and run away and celebrate with your teammates.

‘I’m with Roy Keane. I’ll be waiting for him in the next game, do him – boff!

‘You can take him out though! Go for a tackle and get a yellow card for it.

‘Don’t do it 100 per cent, just take him out.

‘I got brought up in an era where you do that – Martin Keown, Tony Adams – they know exactly who’s taking the mickey out of people and they do him.’

Roy Keane was critical of Romero’s actions and did not lay the blame at Maguire’s feet.

‘Not good, no,’ Keane responded when asked about the incident. ‘Not good, getting all up for that.

‘You remember. When you’re a player, you take note of that, don’t worry.

‘You can’t be too critical of Maguire. ‘I’ve been critical of him, but he’s doing his best.

‘It’s an honest mistake and these things happen in football.’
