Bafana Bafana's homecoming from Afcon halts DStv Premiership restart

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has made the decision to reschedule all DStv Premiership fixtures originally planned for 13/14 February to accommodate the return of the triumphant Bafana Bafana, fresh from their remarkable journey at the Africa Cup of Nations.

This adjustment comes in line with the information received, indicating that the senior men's national team will only be arriving back in South Africa on Wednesday, 14 February.

The PSL's decision underscores its solidarity with and recognition of the national team's outstanding achievements.

Bafana Bafana's impressive Afcon campaign reached its conclusion on Saturday evening, culminating in a third-place finish and a well-deserved bronze medal victory over DR Congo.

With the postponement of these fixtures, the PSL aims to ensure that fans can fully engage in the celebratory atmosphere without missing out on crucial league encounters.

While this rescheduling may temporarily delay the excitement of league action, the PSL assures fans that new dates for these matches will be promptly communicated.

In the meantime, scheduled fixtures for the upcoming weekend, starting from Friday, 16 February, including the clash between SuperSport United and Stellenbosch (19:00), will proceed as planned.

Additionally, log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns are set to face Orlando Pirates (Saturday, 20:00), while Kaizer Chiefs will take on Royal AM (Sunday, 15:30) in KwaZulu-Natal.
