'Back and ready' - Manchester United players react to first Erik ten Hag training session

Manchester United players took to Instagram on Monday to mark their first training session under Erik ten Hag.

Pre-season started in earnest for 28 United players as Ten Hag took the reigns for the first time since being officially announced as the successor for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick. Players who were involved with international duty like Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay, did not return to training yesterday as they have been granted further leave.

However, David de Gea, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford were among the players to arrive at Carrington for Ten Hag's opening day. Ten of the 28-man squad was comprised of players who had been out on loan last season notably including Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek and Amad.
