Australia's Laura Peel, Danielle Scott cruise through to aerials final at Beijing Winter Olympic Games
Australia's Laura Peel and Danielle Scott have qualified for the women's aerials final at the Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
Peel and Scott were among six athletes to move straight through to the final from the opening qualification phase.
Reigning world champion Peel — competing in her third Olympics — topped the qualifiers, with an outstanding effort, scoring 104.54.
Scott was fourth, producing a score of 96.23.
The third Australian, Gabi Ash, was 17th in the opening phase with a score of 77.17.
But Ash still has the chance to make the final via the upcoming second qualification stage.
The women's aerials qualification phase was pushed back to Monday after inclement weather forced its postponement on Sunday.
Tonight's final begins at 10pm AEDT.
