Athletics rookie diagnosed with brutal injury after fouling ball off of his nether region

Athletics infielder Joshua Kuroda-Grauer got a taste of a serious career high on Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks when he hit his first career home run.
However, he came crashing back to earth innings later when he fouled a ball straight into his own testicles.
The universe certainly likes to bring you crashing back to earth, doesn't it?

On Monday, after homering in the second inning and striking out in the third, Kuroda-Grauer was back at the dish and fouled a pitch straight into his own crotch.
It appears he might come from the Jazz Chisholm school of not wearing a cup.
Though, even if he was wearing one, that would still hurt like hell.
But what's wild is that, as you saw in that clip, Kuroda-Grauer got back on the proverbial horse and knocked a base hit into centerfield in that same at-bat.

That was a gutsy performance — especially in game 100 out of 162 for a team 14 games below .500 — but that shot to the groin-al region did some serious damage.
On Tuesday, the Athletics announced a couple of injuries, one of which was Kuroda-Grauer, who sustained a ruptured testicle.
