At golf tourney, TotalEnergies donates N1m each to two charity homes

TotalEnergies

Two charity homes, The Care People Foundation and Galilee Foundation, at the weekend, got N1million each from TotalEnergies as part of the company’s efforts to eradicate poverty and help the less privileged in the society.

Bouyer applauded the collective efforts of everyone, who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the event, as well as the golf section of Ikoyi Club 1938 for providing the venue and support for the project.

Thanking the company for its gesture, The Care People Foundation Vice President, Favour Toluwani, said that TotalEnergies has been of tremendous help to charity homes, having supported them with several materials.

“We want to say a big thank you. We requested for 50 brand new wheelchairs and TotalEnergies gave them to us, and we have donated them to physically challenged kids. They have been supporting the kids financially and academically, helping over 100 kids from our charity. TotalEnergies has been so consistent in supporting our children for the past 15 years. We are grateful,” she said.

On his part, Executive Director, Galilee Foundation, Dr. Gregory Egbadon, also expressed his gratitude. “We are grateful for this donation and a lot more you have done for us. We get subvention every year from you, it is a big task you have taken on and we are grateful,” he said.

98 players participated in the tournament, where Adebayo Alli emerged overall winner with 37 points. John Vassaur was the first runner-up with 33 points and Folabi Balogun, the second runner-up with 32 points.
