Aston Villa head coach Steven Gerrard makes brilliant Amir Khan v Kell Brook admission
Aston Villa head coach Steven Gerrard reckons Amir Khan's domestic dust-up with Kell Brook is a "mouthwatering" prospect and admits the "popcorn" will be out.
Khan faces Brook in a showdown boxing fans have waited years to see with the pair having become embroiled in a war of words before they go toe to toe at the Manchester Arena tomorrow night.
The two had to be separated by security at today's weigh-in with both men looking in tremendous shape ahead of their catchweight contest.
And Villa head coach Gerrard says he plans to watch it but hopes it is being shown in a function room at a family gathering he has to attend.
"I’m going to try and watch it,” he told TalkSport.
“I’ve got a family event, my daughter is 18 very soon so I’ve got a bit of a private function to go to.
“But I’m hoping that in the function room the fight’s on because it’s a huge fight, it’s a mouth-watering fight for everyone to look forward to.
“Domestic fights for me are always the best.
“They have a bit of a derby feel to them so yeah, I think the popcorn will be out and I’m certainly looking forward to it for sure”.
