Aston Villa fans issue Anwar El Ghazi plea after ‘wasted’ Everton loan

Aston Villa favourite Anwar El Ghazi has endured a hugely disappointing loan spell at Everton.

The Dutch winger headed to Goodison Park on loan in January. At the time, Rafa Benitez was still in charge, but the former Liverpool boss was sacked just days later, leaving the Villa man in limbo. Benitez’s replacement, Frank Lampard, clearly hasn’t taken to El Ghazi. Despite the Toffees’ horror run of results, El Ghazi has been limited to just two appearances, with the last coming back in February.

El Ghazi will return to Villa Park in the summer, when he will enter the final 12 months of his contract. It is likely Villa will try and cash in on the 26-year-old. Many Villa fans have expressed sympathy for his situation and would like to see him back at Villa Park now, given the team’s struggles in front of goal. He'll always be held in high regard by me for what he helped us achieve. Frankly the loan was wrong but I wish him all the best, just not capable of taking us where we want to go but he's not the only one.

Should bring him back and give him a go as a striker. Has goals in him and can't be any worse than what we're working with.
