Aston Villa ace seals transfer to David Beckham's Inter Miami

Aston Villa forward Indiana Vassilev has rejoined MLS side Inter Miami CF on a season long loan deal for the second time in his career.

Vassilev, 21, made 21 appearances for the American side co-owned by former England and Premier League midfielder David Beckham, scoring three goals, after joining in July 2021.

Vassilev made his Premier League debut for Villa in the 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion in the 2019/20 season, after coming on in the 67th minute under former manager Dean Smith.

Since then the American has had loan spells at both Burton Albion and Cheltenham Town but failed to score a goal across 24 appearances for the two English sides. Vassilev now rejoins a Miami side managed by former Everton and Manchester United defender Phillip Neville, with the aim of replicating his form previously shown at the club.

His current deal at Villa Park will expire this summer after signing an extension in May 2020.
