Assassin's Creed Shadows Recommended and Minimum PC requirements revealed ahead of launch

Assassin's Creed Shadows will mark the first modern game in the franchise to ditch the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 generation, meaning that it's catering for purely current generation hardware. This is great news for Xbox Series X|S and PS5 owners as it means the game will likely make the most of the hardware those consoles can offer, but it also means the game will likely use more resources for those playing on PC.

Thankfully, Ubisoft has released the official minimum and recommended PC specifications that you'll need to run the game when it launches on March 20. The spec sheet is surprisingly detailed, outlining exactly what sort of PC configuration you'll need depending on whether you want to max out the ray tracing visuals or the resolution.

I've listed out the very minimum specs you'll need to have to play Assassin's Creed Shadows at a baseline level. I've also highlighted the sort of experience you'll get with the recommended PC specs, so you know exactly what to expect when the game launches.

A PC with the above spec can expect to play the game at 1080p resolution with a frame rate of 30fps when on Low settings. Ubisoft also notes that all graphics configurations have resolution scaling in mind, so these frame rates might be achieves with the likes of Nvidia's DLSS or AMD's FSR resolution scaling tech.

Still, it's a relatively modest spec by today's standards, indicating that Assassin's Creed Shadows might actually scale quite well on older hardware. If you want to run the game at a higher quality, frame rate and resolution though, you'll need some beefier hardware.
