Arsenal XI vs Liverpool: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League today

Arsenal look set to remain without Takehiro Tomiyasu for their key Premier League clash with Liverpool later today.

The right-back has been struggling with a calf injury and has not played since January 20.

This evening’s visit of title-chasers Liverpool to the Emirates is likely to come too soon for Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares should start again.

“Tomi is the only one that is still there in contention,” said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

“We have been trying to push him, but with the handbrake a little bit because we need to be careful as we don’t want to get another injury with him.

“We don’t know [if tomorrow is too soon]. Let’s see how he trains today.”

Arsenal’s biggest selection dilemma is around the left flank as Arteta has to decide whether to start Emile Smith Rowe or Gabriel Martinelli.

Predicted Arsenal XI: Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Odegaard, Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Lacazette, Martinelli.

Wednesday 8.15pm GMT, Sky Sports

Venue: Emirates Stadium

Referee: Andre Marriner

Arsenal squad from: Leno, Ramsdale, Okonkwo; Cedric, Gabriel, Holding, Tavares, Tierney, Tomiyasu, White; Elneny, Lokonga, Odegaard, Patino, Partey, Saka, Smith Rowe, Xhaka; Lacazette, Martinelli, Nketiah and Pepe.
