Arsenal transfer theory shared over Leicester City deal after Leeds United 'offer'

Arsenal's pursuit of Youri Tielemans has reportedly been 'cooled' after they confirmed the signing of midfielder Fabio Vieira.

Mikel Arteta's side have long been admirers of the Foxes midfielder and have been heavily linked with a move to land him this summer. Tielemans' contract at the King Power Stadium expires next summer and there has been reports of him extending his stay in LE3 by a further year.

The Gunners have already signed Matt Turner from American team New England and Brazilian teenager Marquinhos alongside Vieira and had been backed to add Tielemans to their squad. However, reports from the Athletic have claimed Arsenal have made a formal offer for Leeds United winger Raphinha.

Arsenal are long-term admirers of the Brazilian and will have to overcome interest from Barcelona and Chelsea to sign the 25-year-old. Following the news of their bid for Raphinha, Arsenal fans have been discussing how they feel about the possibility of not signing Tielemans.
