Arsenal star Thomas Partey taunts Manchester United for Newcastle defeat

Arsenal star Thomas Partey has taken aim at Manchester United following their defeat to Newcastle with a light-hearted dig on social media.

Partey has been among the main performers this season as the table-topping Gunners continue to compete with Manchester City for the Premier League title. But it was United who Partey appeared to be focusing on when dining with Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba.

Spotted out and about in London on Sunday night, just hours after United had slipped to defeat against the Saudi-backed Magpies with Joe Willock and Callum Wilson scoring, the Arsenal midfielder was filmed by Aba and initially seemed reluctant to take part.

However, after the media personality urged him to speak after announcing Partey to her 1.9million followers on Twitter - the popular social media platform - he decided to taunt United with a little dig about their result earlier in the afternoon.

Speaking to the camera while videoing herself, Aba - whose full is name Nana Aba Anamoah - said: "Arsenal fans. I'm here with your super-duper midfielder." As the camera then panned around, she asked Partey to stop eating and say something to Arsenal supporters.

Initially taking a little while to reply, Partey said "hello" and paused to laugh. He added: "Join us in celebration of [Manchester] United's loss."

Aba, whose social media profile indicates that she supports United, returned to view and opened her mouth as to appear shocked at what Partey said. However, it all seemed rather light-hearted as supporters continue to reply to the taunt in their droves on various social media platforms.
